What is Slurp?

Slurp is a bold, funny, emotionally honest dating series where two Gen Z strangers go on a filmed blind date over oysters—each one unlocking a spicy, flirty, or deeply chaotic question. Think: therapy TikTok meets first-date energy, with a cheeky narrator.

Where does the filming happen?

On a beautiful, private beach set in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, BC. You’ll meet us at a public spot near Courtenay (like a beach parking lot), and we’ll shuttle you to and from our nearby set. Secret location = more privacy and less looky-loos.

Do I have to eat raw oysters?

Yes. It’s literally the name of the show. Each oyster you slurp unlocks a question for your date to answer. If you can’t or won’t eat oysters, this probably isn’t your moment.

Will I get paid?

Yes—$100 as a thank-you for showing up and being real. Plus: oysters, snacks, and a truly unforgettable story.

How long does filming take?

Your Slurp experience will be about 2–3 hours total. You meet us at a public spot → get a private ride to set → film your date → ride back → get a snack and $100 → go home feeling iconic.

Will I get paid?

Yes—$100 as a thank-you for showing up and being real. Plus: oysters, snacks, and a truly unforgettable story.

Will my date know if I said “Shuck Yes”?

Nope! At the end of the date, you each film a private confessional. If both of you say "Shuck Yes" and want to exchange info, we’ll connect you after filming—with full consent.

Do I have to be an actor or influencer?

Not at all. We’re looking for real people with real charm, vulnerability, and something to say. No modeling portfolio required—just show up, slurp up, and be you.

Who can apply?

We welcome daters of all gender identities, sexual orientations, body types, and backgrounds. Real chemistry comes in all forms—and we’re here for it.

But you must be Gen Z (19–29 years old)…

• Live on Vancouver Island

• Available for one afternoon/evening in July 2025 (tentatively July 9 or 10, but subject to change depending on weather)

• Able to meet us at a Courtenay-area location

• Willing to slurp oysters + answer questions on camera

Is this safe? What about my privacy?

A Consent Liaison will be on set the entire time to support your comfort, safety, and boundaries. You’ll only share your first name on camera. No personal info or socials are exchanged on set or during the date.

If both daters say “Shuck Yes” and indicate they’d like to stay in touch, we’ll safely facilitate contact after filming—only with mutual consent.

What happens after I apply?

Our casting team will review submissions and reach out to shortlisted applicants for a quick video call. It's low-pressure and kind of fun—just a vibe check to see if you’re a fit.
